Will it NOT Rain Today?

Usually when I would look at the forecast in Colorado, it would be to see if it was going to rain or snow that day. Now here in London, I look at the weather forecast to see if we are going to get lucky and it is NOT going to rain.

No such luck. It has rained everyday so far in 2026. Hence, the giant pond at our local park. My kids have gotten more use out of their rain boots in the last 6 months than in the whole of the rest of their little lives combined. Nick gifted me some wellies for my birthday, and I'm glad he did.

I made the mistake of wearing my tennis shoes to the park today, and now I will be hosing them off. Poor Clark has taken more baths than he ever wishes to in his whole life because he ends up in paw mud masks every time we go anywhere.

Actually, I feel a bit weird writing about the rain because I know back in Colorado right now, there are constant red flag warnings and people are wishing for snow or rain or something to fall from the sky. So, having experienced a wildfire way too close to home a few years ago, I will switch my tune and be thankful for my umbrellas instead.

But, come on London. One sunny day would be nice.
